DIANA QUINAYÁS

Woooow! This coffee is so incredibly delicious, incredible bright florality. We love a floral washed coffee here at von&vonnie and naturally we love a gesha. Diana grew up on a coffee farm with her father being a coffee farmer. From a young age Diana was committed to growing high quality coffee, at age 13 her father entrusted her with her own lot to grow coffee.

Diana developed a desire to produce higher quality coffee and started uprooting older common varietals and replacing them with higher quality crops – starting out with Castillo which did not prove successful as the land and soil would not work with this cultivar. Diana learnt that you have to work with the land in order to get the best from it. She has learnt that the land will reward you if you cultivate it with love.

We are so happy about Diana’s commitment to quality coffees as this coffee is truly exceptional. A beautiful, clean washed gesha which is sure to meet every expectation you could have of it.

About the processing: Cherries are collected every 15 days and the first day’s picking is depulped the same day. Each following day, the fresh cherries are collected into this same de-pulped mass until the picking iscomplete, and then the entire mass is left to dry ferment for an additional two days. The coffee is rinsed and left to drain for 12 hours before being loaded into a truck and driven to the outskirts of San Agustin to be dried in solar driers for 15 - 20 days.
